Terms of Service for PluralBuddy

Effective as of December 1st, 2025

Thank you for your interest in using PluralBuddy as your plurality bot of choice. These Terms of Service apply when using our service in accordance with Discord's Developer Terms of Service.

These are rules you must follow when using any PluralBuddy service. Please read them carefully. This includes OAuth applications, the bot itself, and our web-based application.

PluralBuddy Staff reserve the right to update these terms reflecting new features added to PluralBuddy in which will be communicated via news Discord channels on our support server (server id, 1444187699924963350). Unless stated otherwise, your continued use of PluralBuddy depends on your acceptance and agreement of these Terms and other relevant documents.

1. You must abide by Discord Terms of Service and Discord Community Guidelines

All services stemming from PluralBuddy require you to follow these regulations due to our involvement in the Discord service as a whole.

Such agreements can be found below:

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Using PluralBuddy to evade blocking of other Users as per Discord's Bullying, Harassment, and Threats Policy Explainer
  • You must meet the minimum age requirement of Discord. This may be 13 years old in some countries, but not all. Some may have specific legislature which is listed here.
  • Using PluralBuddy to deliberately impersonate in a harmful way.
    • This includes but is not limited to public figures, PluralBuddy adjacent staff members or using PluralBuddy to impersonate staff members of the server in which you participate in.

2. Pornographic or sexually explicit content

Linking to pornographic or sexually explicit content, whether through our image store (at pluralbuddy.giftedly.dev) or through other means is strictly forbidden. Additionally, as content like this can slip outside of NSFW Channels (per Discord's Sexual Content Policy Explainer) and in which making you in violation of Discord's Terms of Service.

This includes data from other websites, as long as it is stored in our database, we do not allow that content to be in any related metadata field of your Alters, Systems or Tags, whether text or a URL field type. Violating this section will result in a swift inability for using PluralBuddy indefinitely.

3. Usage of OAuth Applications

All applications must be in compliance with Discord's Developer Terms of Service and other guidelines set forth above in this agreement. You may not use these Applications in malicious intent such as to:

  • Send malware, viruses or other malicious links to otherwise scam Users of your Application
  • Use the list of User ID(s) collected by the openid scope in your Application to use in a malicious intent
  • Use email addresses collected by the email scope in your Application to use to advertise or otherwise use your appeal for marketing purposes
  • Purposely modifying alters, systems or tags to be in violation of PluralBuddy's Terms of Service

4. Third-party Servers

PluralBuddy provides moderation tools (ie. AutoMod, blocked roles/channels) in which allow you to moderate manually or automatically who can use the Service.

You may not use these tools in a way that would reflect badly on PluralBuddy's reputation. You are obligated when adding PluralBuddy to inform users that the decision to make them blocked was solely of which made up of moderators of your server.

5. Actions we take

If you violate any of the terms listed above, any action that we may take against you is at our discretion.

We cannot guarantee a certain level of action we may take against you if you violate these terms.

This policy applies for the following platforms and services:

  • PluralBuddy Discord Bot (application id: 1436973163211657278, invite link)
  • PluralBuddy OAuth Application (application id: 1436973163211657278)
  • PluralBuddy Support Server (server id: 1444187699924963350)
